15 Apr International Expertise Boosts Ghana Judo Development: Successful Seminar Strengthens Technical Capacity
The Ghana Judo Federation (GJF) has successfully concluded a landmark two-day Refereeing and Coaching Seminar aimed at strengthening technical knowledge, improving officiating standards, and enhancing athlete development across the country.
Held on 11th and 12th April 2026 at the Media Centre of the Accra Sports Stadium, the seminar brought together 20 senior athletes from various clubs within Accra and welcomed back several experienced athletes who had previously stepped away from active participation. Their return underscores the renewed energy and confidence surrounding the Federation’s ongoing rebranding and expansion drive.
The training sessions were facilitated by distinguished officials from the International Judo Federation (IJF), namely Juan Carlos Barcos and Tonino Chyurlia, whose presence provided participants with valuable international exposure and firsthand technical guidance on the latest rules and competition standards.
