08 Mar Ghanaian Talent Shines: Kwadwo Oduro Agyei and Afia Otenewaa Agyei Claim Silver and Bronze at British Schools Judo Championships
The Ghana Judo Federation proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of Kwadwo “JoJo” Oduro Agyei and Afia Otenewaa Agyei, two promising young Ghanaian judoka who delivered impressive performances at the British Schools Judo Championships.
Competing in a highly competitive tournament held over two days and featuring 735 competitors from schools across Britain, Kwadwo “JoJo” Oduro Agyei captured a Silver medal, while Afia Otenewaa Agyei secured a Bronze medal in their respective categories.
Their success at such a large and competitive event highlights the remarkable potential of young Ghanaian athletes both within Ghana and across the diaspora when given the opportunity, exposure, and support to compete at high-level international events.
Kwadwo and Afia are the younger siblings of Frema Agyei, who is already making a strong impact on the international judo scene. Their achievements not only reflect a growing family legacy in the sport, but also demonstrate the dedication, discipline, and talent that Ghanaian athletes continue to bring to judo worldwide.
